What Is This Settlement About?
A class action lawsuit alleges that certain Bayer antifungal spray products sold in the United States were contaminated with benzene, a chemical linked to health risks when exposure occurs at elevated levels.
Bayer denies wrongdoing, but has agreed to a settlement to resolve the claims. No proof of injury is required to file a claim.
Who Is Eligible?
- You live in the United States
- You purchased one or more eligible Bayer antifungal spray products
- Your purchase occurred on or after November 16, 2015

The settlement covers recalled spray products including:
- Lotrimin AF Athlete’s Foot Powder Spray
- Lotrimin AF Deodorant Powder Spray
- Lotrimin AF Liquid Spray
- Lotrimin AF Daily Prevention Spray
- Lotrimin Jock Itch Spray
- Tinactin Athlete’s Foot Powder Spray
- Tinactin Athlete’s Foot Liquid Spray
- Tinactin Jock Itch Spray
Products affected were distributed between September 2018 and September 2021 and were part of Bayer’s October 2021 recall.
How Much Can You Get?
With Proof of Purchase
Reimbursement equal to the purchase price (excluding tax) for each eligible product.
Without Proof of Purchase
$7 per product claimed, up to 3 products per household.
Payments may be adjusted depending on total claims filed.
How to File a Claim
- Visit the official settlement website
- Complete the online claim form
- Submit by March 11, 2026
Claims must be submitted online or postmarked by March 11, 2026.
Important Legal Notes
Filing a claim means you give up the right to sue Bayer separately for these claims. Personal injury claims are not included in this release.
The final court approval hearing is scheduled for May 13, 2026. Payments will be issued after approval and resolution of any appeals.
