Send a Free Military Care Package With Crown Royal’s Purple Bag Project
What Is the Crown Royal Purple Bag Project?
The project turns the brand’s familiar purple bags into care packages for service members and veterans. Crown Royal works with the nonprofit Packages From Home to bring a little comfort from home to the military community.
According to Crown Royal’s program overview, more than one million bags have been distributed since 2010, with a goal of two million by 2030. The online Pack a Bag activity is one way to get involved.
Who Receives the Care Package?
Packages From Home selects the recipient and destination. You cannot use this form to choose a specific loved one. Sending is not credited to the participant, and messages are subject to approval or editing. The U.S. military does not sponsor this program.
The charity’s work began in 2004 after a military mother sent packages to her deployed son and learned that others in his unit were not receiving the same support. Today its broader programs provide requested food, hygiene and recreation supplies to military communities. Read its mission and story for more about the organization behind the deliveries.
