Choose an event you can use before planning extras

Start with the available game and the date. Read the award conditions to understand how the event is selected and whether availability affects the choice. A reference to regular-season tickets does not mean unrestricted admission to any future game or a championship event. Keep that distinction clear when discussing the opportunity with a guest.

Check how the event fits your schedule. Include time away from work, the journey to the venue and the trip home. If an overnight stay would be needed, put that on a separate line before deciding the outing fits the budget. A ticket can be valuable while still leading to travel costs you must pay.

Discuss the practical arrangements with the person you would bring. Decide who will travel together and how any shared expenses will be handled. A prize does not automatically establish an agreement between the winner and guest about meals, rides or a hotel. Clear expectations make it easier to evaluate the complete day.

Build a budget around admission, travel and food

Give each cost its own place in the plan. List admission, transportation, parking or local rides, food and optional purchases. Use current information for the actual game and venue when available. Keep the date beside each quote so you know when it was checked. A price for a different event or an earlier season is not a reliable total for the outing you are currently considering. Compare the full journey rather than a single low fare or parking price. A cheaper option farther away can require extra time or another paid ride. Consider the route after the event as well as the arrival. Do not assume the same arrangement works for every stadium or every start time.

Choose a comfortable allowance for food and merchandise before arriving. An optional jersey or souvenir should not consume money needed for the trip home. If several people are paying for different parts of the outing, record shared purchases so everyone understands how the costs will be settled.

Keep the advertised ticket value separate from cash in your budget. The sponsor’s approximate valuation does not provide a spending balance for meals, a hotel or a different purchase. Costs outside the stated prize remain the winner’s responsibility under the rules, so ask questions before accepting or buying related extras.

Keep ticket delivery and venue instructions organized

Use the ticket provider specified by the organizer and follow the actual delivery instructions. Keep the confirmation and event details accessible. If an account is required to receive the tickets, create or use it yourself through the verified provider. Do not share passwords with a stranger offering to arrange a prize.

Check the current venue instructions before the outing. Admission, mobile-ticket access and the rules for what you can bring belong to the actual event. Avoid relying on a previous season’s visit or another venue’s policy. A short check before traveling can prevent a mistaken assumption about the entry process.

Read any conditions that apply if the event changes or you cannot attend. Do not assume the sponsor will reimburse an unused ticket, replace an independently purchased hotel or pay for a preferred upgrade. Keep the organizer’s written response if a particular arrangement matters to your ability to use the prize.

Treat a possible award as separate from an outing you have already booked. A random drawing does not guarantee a result or permit an entrant to reserve a prize in advance. Keep your household commitments and any independently planned event within a budget you can manage without winning.

The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 states and District of Columbia who meet its age condition: at least 18 as of the last day of the month before entry. It began October 30 and closes November 12, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern. No purchase is necessary for the email method.
