The complete Freebie Mom guide
Chiquita is giving Halloween fans a chance to dress as the brand’s unmistakable yellow fruit. This social media promotion awards adult-size banana costumes through a one-time Instagram entry process.
The banana costume prize
Prize: 375 adult-size Chiquita Banana costumes worth $9.15 USD each.
Total winners: 375
Value: $3,431.25 USD. Official rules
The costume is adult-size, so entrants should review the official promotion details before participating. Each verified winner is limited to one prize.
How to complete the Instagram entry
Start at Chiquita’s official giveaway post using a public personal Instagram account. Follow @chiquitabanana, then leave a comment containing #TrickOrPeel on the promotion post.
Watch your Instagram direct messages after commenting. The entry process includes additional instructions delivered by DM, and commenting by itself does not complete the entry. Entrants must finish those instructions within 24 hours of receiving the first entry message.
Keep the qualifying comment posted and continue following the Chiquita account until winners have been verified. Because the promotion uses direct messages for its next steps, checking the message-request area may help prevent an entry instruction from being overlooked.
Entry limit: One time entry.
Who is eligible to enter
Eligibility: 50 U.S. & D.C. and Canada, excluding Quebec. Must be 18+ and meet the age of majority requirement.
Canadian entrants selected as potential winners must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. This requirement is part of the winner-verification process.
When the giveaway closes
Deadline: Oct 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET
Complete every required Instagram and DM step before the stated cutoff. The official details also allow up to 90 days after verification for prize shipment, so winners should not assume their costume will arrive in time for Halloween.
