How to get it
- Read Target’s official Harry Potter collection announcement using the button below. Look for the November 7 in-store celebration details.
- Contact your Target store ahead of time. Ask whether it will distribute the free Hogwarts Crest button, where to pick it up and whether there is a local distribution time.
- Visit on Saturday, November 7, 2026, according to your store’s confirmed instructions. Ask a team member about the button rather than assuming it will be at every register.
- Pick up a button only while the store has its allocation. Follow any local guest limits; the announcement does not promise a reserved button or a later shipment if stock runs out.
What exactly is free?
The announcement identifies a Hogwarts Crest button. The clothing, bedding, accessories and other merchandise in Target’s collection are separate paid products. The official collection photograph in this article illustrates the launch; it is not a photo of the free button or a promise that the pictured items are included.
What time does it start?
Target’s corporate announcement gives the date but no nationwide clock time for button distribution. Store opening hours and another event’s time are not proof of this freebie’s pickup window. Ask the store directly rather than planning around an unverified noon or afternoon start.
Do I need Target Circle 360?
The announcement separately gives Circle 360 members early online access to part of the merchandise collection on November 6. It does not state that paid membership is required for the November 7 button. Do not buy a membership on the assumption that it reserves the freebie.
Is there a special event in Jersey City?
Target highlights wizarding-world-themed activities at its Jersey City store and says guests at other locations can shop the new collection and receive a free button while supplies last. That does not establish identical activities, quantities or schedules at every store. Your location can confirm what it is offering.
The announcement does not state a button-specific purchase requirement, age minimum or per-person quantity. Follow any instructions given by the participating store; no unlimited quantity or guaranteed availability is implied here.
