What is Hasbro FunLab?

FunLab is Hasbro’s own research group. Participants help its teams understand how people play and what they think of product ideas. The official site welcomes both adult fans and parents and families.

Depending on the study, opportunities can include:

  • At-home product testing: Hasbro mails a product for the study, with a virtual play session through Microsoft Teams.
  • In-person playtesting: Sessions at the FunLab facility in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
  • Fan research: Virtual discussions or at-home gameplay.
  • Focus groups and online surveys: Feedback on concepts, designs, instructions, and play experiences.

So you do not necessarily need to live near Rhode Island to take part. Check the location and technology requirements in each invitation.

See Hasbro’s testing-program overview.

Who can sign up?

The registrant must be 18 or older. Only a parent or guardian may enroll their children. Hasbro excludes households with employment in advertising, market research, public relations, publishing, film, television, radio, or the manufacture, distribution, or retail sale of toys, entertainment games, or videos.

How to sign up for Hasbro toy testing

1. Open the official enrollment page

Use the blue signup button above. The registration page starts by asking for your birthday. An eligible adult should handle enrollment; do not enter a made-up birth date.

2. Complete your profile carefully

Provide accurate household and participant details, and review the terms and participation waiver. Consent covers recording and confidentiality, so read it before agreeing.

3. Watch for an invitation

Hasbro contacts matching households by email or phone. There is no fixed wait for a first invitation, and replying does not confirm a place.

4. Check the details before accepting

Confirm the session’s date, location, requirements, and any product-return or reward terms with the research team. Keep the confirmation handy so you know exactly what you are agreeing to do.

Freebie Mom tip: Add funlab@hasbro.com to your contacts, keep your profile current, and reply promptly to suitable invitations. None of these steps guarantees selection.

Do you get free toys or paid to participate?

The public pages reviewed do not promise a standard payment, gift card, or a toy you can keep. A product mailed for research is not automatically yours to keep. Ask about compensation, shipping, and returns for the specific study before accepting.

You are registering for potential research—not buying a toy. There is no reason to add a retail purchase to this signup process.

Is Hasbro FunLab legitimate?

Yes. This program is hosted on usfunlab.hasbro.com, an official Hasbro subdomain. Use the official site to enroll, and be cautious of anyone claiming a payment will guarantee your selection.
