Wanna win a$10,000 trip?

Super Bowl tickets, flights, three hotel nights and a $300 gift card for two travelers.

Giveaway details + how to enter

A trip built around a major sporting event needs a different budget from a flexible weekend away. Your destination and game date may be fixed, while the cost of flights, rooms and transportation changes as you compare options. The useful question is what the complete trip would cost for the people traveling, with the arrangements they actually need.

Sony’s Super Bowl LXI sweepstakes offers one Los Angeles trip for two valued at $10,000. You can find the included prize components and free entry instructions below. First, this event-travel guide explains how to organize a flight and hotel budget without mistaking the first advertised price for the whole vacation.

Set the event itinerary before comparing prices

Begin with the fixed parts of the trip: the event date, the destination and the number of travelers. Then write down the earliest time you could depart and the latest time you need to be home. A cheap flight is not useful if it arrives after the activity you are traveling to attend. Compare options within a schedule that works.

Account for the journey between the airport, hotel and venue. A city name on a search result does not tell you how long every transfer will take. Look at the actual addresses and review the venue’s official arrival information. Leave room for collecting luggage, checking in and getting to the event without relying on every connection working perfectly.

Decide which parts of your plan are flexible. You may be able to change departure airports, room arrangements or the number of nights while keeping the event itself fixed. Write down the tradeoffs before searching. A longer airport drive can affect parking and transport costs; an extra hotel night can change a flight comparison that initially looked favorable.

Keep a single itinerary everyone can read. Include dates, airports, accommodation addresses and the event start time. Check that the travelers’ names match the documents they will use. If you are traveling with someone else, agree on the arrangements before one person makes a nonrefundable booking on everyone’s behalf.

For a prize trip, use the sponsor’s itinerary rather than assuming you can choose any dates. Sony’s package specifies February 12–15, 2027, with the game on February 14. Its arrangements are made under the official rules. Do not book an independent trip expecting the sponsor to reimburse it, and do not treat a potential winner notification as permission to change the prize.

Compare airfare using the services you will actually use

Choose a sample travel plan before comparing fares. Decide how many bags the group expects to bring, whether sitting together matters and whether you need flexibility to change dates. Check the fare’s actual conditions rather than assuming every ticket from the same airline includes the same services. Record the conditions alongside the price.

Use a simple worksheet with one row for each option. Include the quoted airfare, the extras you would buy, airport transportation and any parking you would need at home. A hypothetical $250 ticket with $70 of selected extras totals $320 before other trip costs. A $300 ticket that includes those same services could therefore cost less for that particular traveler. These are examples, not current airline offers.

Look at the booking channel too. Confirm who will collect payment, who holds the reservation and who you would contact if plans change. Save the fare conditions and confirmation. A screenshot of a search result is useful for comparison, but it is not a substitute for reading the terms shown before you pay.

Understand the difference between choosing to cancel and an airline canceling or significantly changing a flight. The Department of Transportation’s refund guide explains when a refund is due, including when a traveler declines alternatives after certain airline disruptions. Your own change of plans does not automatically create the same rights.

For the Sony prize, round-trip coach airfare is included, with a ground-transportation alternative at the sponsor’s discretion under the rules. That does not make every optional service part of the prize. Wait for the confirmed arrangements and ask the administrator about anything you would otherwise have to purchase yourself.

Build a hotel and local transportation budget

Compare hotels for the dates and occupancy you need. Read the complete quote and identify any charges you have not included in your worksheet. Check parking, breakfast, transport options and cancellation terms directly with the property or booking provider. A nearby room is only a good value if its total cost and conditions fit your plan.

Ask about check-in requirements before traveling. Hotels may require an acceptable payment method for incidentals even when someone else pays for the room. Find out what authorization is taken, how it works and what funds you need available. Sony’s official prize rules specifically require a major credit card or other hotel-accepted payment method for incidental expenses.

Map the trips you will need to make locally. Airport to hotel, hotel to venue and the return journeys are separate legs. Compare realistic transport choices using official provider information. Do not assume a shuttle runs at your required time or a hotel description means every ride is included.

Plan meals and ordinary spending as their own category. A hotel night and an event ticket do not cover every breakfast, snack or bottle of water. Agree on a reasonable spending allowance with your companion, and keep optional purchases separate from the costs you need to complete the itinerary.

Sony’s package includes three hotel nights and a $300 American Express gift card intended for transportation between the airport, hotel and game. It does not promise unlimited local transportation. Meals, gratuities, parking and other unspecified expenses remain the winner’s responsibility. Knowing the boundary between the prize and your own spending is part of deciding whether you can accept it.

Organize confirmations and prepare for changes

Keep the trip’s confirmations in one place, with an offline copy of essential addresses and contact information. Record confirmation numbers rather than relying entirely on links in a crowded inbox. Share the itinerary with your travel companion and make sure both of you know which reservations have already been confirmed.

Before buying optional protection, identify what you would be protecting. Refundable arrangements, existing coverage and nonrefundable spending create different questions. Read a policy’s actual covered reasons, limits and exclusions instead of treating the phrase travel protection as a complete explanation. Ask the provider questions before paying, particularly if you have a fixed event you cannot simply attend another day.

Make a plan for a disrupted journey. Know which airline or booking service to contact and what the hotel’s late-arrival process is. Keep records of changes and necessary expenses. A sensible backup plan begins with information and contacts, not an assumption that every additional expense will be reimbursed.

Review the venue’s official ticket and admission instructions close to departure. Digital tickets may require a working phone and access to the appropriate account. Sony’s rules say the game tickets are electronic and require a mobile phone for receipt and redemption. Arrange that access before arriving at the stadium, and follow the sponsor’s instructions for the tickets it provides.

Finally, leave room in the budget for costs the prize does not cover. The estimated value is a description of the package, not cash handed to the winner to spend however they choose. If you enter, use accurate contact information and watch for the sponsor’s notification.
