Free Mod Mondays: Give Your Drink an Upgrade
Rewards members receive a customization coupon for one designated Monday each month. It can cover an eligible add-on, such as cold foam or an espresso shot. The beverage itself is not free.
Look in your app or email for the date, eligible extras and covered amount. Apply the offer at checkout or mention it to your barista. Do not assume it works every Monday or stacks with another Reward.

Free Starbucks Refills: Stay for Another Cup
Enjoy your first drink in the café, then request an eligible refill before that visit ends. Starbucks includes hot or iced brewed coffee and tea.
The refill selection excludes Cold Brew, Nitro Cold Brew, Iced Tea Lemonade, flavored iced tea and Refreshers base. A free brewed-coffee refill is not a second free latte or Frappuccino.

Nondairy Milk Without an Extra Charge
Starbucks advertises oat, almond, coconut and soy milk substitutions at no additional charge. Choose your preferred milk when ordering; other paid additions can still raise the total.

How Starbucks Rewards Works in 2026
Join the free program and identify your account when ordering. The 2026 system uses Green, Gold and Reserve status—not one universal earning rate.

Our saving tip: Compare what you would pay out of pocket. Using more Stars is not automatically the better choice if a lower-tier redemption covers something you were already buying.
How to Get Your Free Starbucks Birthday Reward
Eligible members can choose one qualifying drink or food item. To qualify, join at least seven days before your birthday, add your birthday to the account and make at least one Star-earning transaction before your birthday each year.

Two More Ways to Earn Stars
Bring a clean reusable cup
Active members can earn double Stars on a qualifying personal-cup transaction. Starbucks-provided café mugs do not count. Active means a Star-earning purchase within the previous two years. Personal-cup benefit details.
Reload only what you planned to spend
Qualifying digital Starbucks Card reloads of $30 earn 10 Bonus Stars; $50 earns 25. The limit is 25 Bonus Stars per transaction. Check the Rewards reload offer.
A reload moves money into your coffee budget—it is not cash back. Skip a bigger reload if the extra prepaid balance does not fit your plans.

Peanuts Great Pumpkin Collection: September 15
Snoopy fans, this one deserves a calendar note! Starbucks’ Great Pumpkin-inspired Peanuts collection arrives at participating U.S. coffeehouses on September 15.
Highlights include the Snoopy glass cold cup with Woodstock straw topper ($39.95), a ceramic mug ($29.95), Snoopy plush ($34.95) and bag charm ($16.95). The glass cold cup has a two-per-customer limit.
Stock varies by store. If one item is your must-have, check with your café before making a special trip.

The Fall Menu Is Already Here
Pumpkin Spice Latte season is back, with more than pumpkin on the menu. New choices include Iced Pumpkin Cream Shaken Espresso, Pumpkin Spice Chai, Iced Pumpkin Cream Matcha, Iced Banana Bread Latte, Iced Banana Bread Chai and Chaider.
Returning options include Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and pecan drinks. Hungry too? Look for the Chicken Bacon Protein Pocket, Hedgehog Cake Pop and returning Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin.

Can I get a free refill to use on a later visit?
No. The refill perk is for an eligible brewed coffee or tea during the same visit in the same café, after your initial drink purchase.
Should I spend more just to earn a Reward?
Set your coffee budget first. An extra purchase can cost more than the perk is worth to you. Start with benefits that fit the order or café visit you already planned.
