Giveaway details + how to enter

A vehicle-maintenance budget is more useful when it follows your own car’s records and service requirements. A general promotional offer cannot tell you which work is due or which product your vehicle needs. Start with the owner’s manual, a clear service history and written estimates for the work you are considering.

Valvoline’s Holiday on Us 2.0 Sweepstakes offers twenty-five $1,000 checks. A free handwritten mail route is available, with a maximum of two entries. The exact card, envelope and deadline instructions follow this guide to planning maintenance expenses without confusing a cash drawing with a required purchase.

Use the vehicle’s records to organize the next service visit

Keep a record of the vehicle, current mileage and the service work already completed. The receipt should identify the date, mileage and actual work performed. Put it with the maintenance schedule for that vehicle so you can see what has been done rather than relying on a vague memory of the last visit.

Read the manufacturer’s schedule and the conditions relevant to the vehicle. Different models can have different requirements, and a store promotion does not replace those instructions. If a warning or symptom needs professional attention, describe it accurately to the service provider. A budget article cannot diagnose the vehicle remotely.

Before an appointment, make a short list of questions. Ask which work is due under the applicable schedule and which suggestions are optional or based on an inspection. Request an explanation of anything you do not understand before authorizing it. Keep urgent safety questions separate from purely cosmetic or convenience additions.

NHTSA’s winter-driving guidance recommends reviewing vehicle preparation, including tires, lights, wipers and the battery, and using the manufacturer’s recommendations. Its checklist is a useful starting point for questions to a qualified mechanic, not a guarantee that a particular service package is necessary for every vehicle.

Compare written estimates using the same scope

Ask for an estimate that distinguishes parts, labor and applicable fees. A headline service price can be difficult to compare if another quote includes a different product or additional work. Confirm that each proposal addresses the same vehicle and the same requested scope before deciding one is cheaper.

Make sure the product specification fits the vehicle rather than choosing only by brand, package size or a sweepstakes promotion. Refer to the owner’s manual and ask the service provider to explain compatibility. Buying an eligible promotion item is a separate decision from whether that item belongs in your vehicle. For example, two service offers can use different quantities or include different inspections even when their headlines sound similar. Ask the provider to identify those differences on the estimate. Keep the comparison tied to the work required for your own vehicle, and do not assume that a larger product package or a longer list of services is automatically the better choice.

Read how additional work will be approved. If an inspection identifies another issue, ask for the revised description and price before authorizing it. Keep the original estimate and any approved change together. A clear record helps distinguish work you requested from work that was merely discussed.

Compare the complete amount due, including applicable taxes and fees, rather than only a coupon’s face value. If a promotion requires a minimum quantity or a specific store, note those conditions beside the price. Do not buy more than you need solely because a drawing is advertised with the purchase.

Plan recurring costs separately from unexpected repairs

List the routine expenses you can anticipate from the vehicle’s schedule and your actual usage. Give each one an expected time rather than pretending every cost arrives monthly. A simple calendar can help you see when a planned service may overlap with other household expenses.

Keep uncertain repairs in a separate category. A written estimate is a useful starting point, but the final scope can change when work is inspected and approved. Decide how you will review those changes instead of assuming a general savings target is a promise that every future repair will fit inside it.

Retain warranty and service information for the products and labor actually supplied. Ask the provider how a follow-up concern should be handled and which documents to keep. Do not assume every repair, product or service location offers identical coverage. The written terms for your transaction control that question.

A possible $1,000 prize should remain outside the money already available for necessary work. Valvoline’s award is a check that the winner may budget separately; the rules do not require spending it on a specific repair. Entering the drawing is not a substitute for addressing an existing vehicle concern or paying a committed bill.

Mail up to two Valvoline entries without buying oil

Eligibility is for legal residents of the 50 states, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico who are at least 18 or their jurisdiction’s age of majority, whichever is older. The promotion began October 11 and ends November 18, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern. A purchase is not necessary for the mail route.

Handprint your first name, last name, required email address and required phone number on a 3-by-5-inch index card. Put it in a sealed number 10 envelope with proper postage. Address it to Valvoline at Advance Auto Parts Holiday on Us 2.0 Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 400, Social Circle, GA 30025-9998.

Have the envelope postmarked by November 18 and received by November 25. Each entry needs its own separately mailed, postage-paid outer envelope. The total maximum is two entries per person across all methods. If you use both allowed mail entries, do not add a purchase entry beyond that limit.

The twenty-five awards are $1,000 checks, with a $25,000 combined prize pool. The separate purchase-route gift is not supplied to mail entrants. Marketing-email consent is optional under the rules. Potential winner contact is expected around December 1, with five business days for required claim documents.

Freebie Mom Entry Tickets do not enter Valvoline’s drawing. Reading, scrolling and collecting tickets do not prepare or mail a card. Use the final official instructions, complete your own handwritten entries and allow for the sponsor’s receipt deadline.
