When is Starbucks Red Cup Day 2026?
Thursday, November 12, 2026 is the expected Red Cup Day date. Starbucks has confirmed the giveaway will return, but has not yet officially announced its date. The holiday menu and first merchandise collections arrive separately on November 5.
How will the free cup offer work?
The confirmed requirement is a handcrafted holiday beverage purchase. The reusable cup is included only at participating stores while supplies last. This is a gift-with-purchase offer, not a no-purchase freebie. Starbucks has not yet published the full 2026 qualifying-drink list or detailed ordering instructions.
Once the event date is officially confirmed, check with your store before ordering. Ask whether it is participating, whether cups remain and whether your chosen drink qualifies. A menu launch or a social-media photo alone does not reserve a cup.
A look back: this red cup is the 2025 design

The red cup with the white coffeehouse illustration matches Starbucks’ 2025 design. Last year’s promotion ran on November 13, 2025 and included a 16-ounce reusable cup with a qualifying purchase. Those are historical details, not this year’s confirmed date or cup size. View Starbucks’ dated 2025 announcement.
What holiday drinks are coming?
The November 5 menu includes returning Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Sugar Cookie Latte and Gingerbread Chai, plus the new Tiramisu Velvet lineup and Apple Pomegranate Refresher. A drink’s appearance on the holiday menu does not by itself establish Red Cup Day eligibility.
